EARLY TUJUNGA FIRE DEPARTMENT NEGATIVES FOUND

2010 - The Year of Valley Adventures
Tujunga Fire Department negative (date unknown) Gift to the Archives of The Museum of the San Fernando Valley from Gary Fredburg 2010 (click on image to enlarge)
Some years ago, Gary Fredburg (Board Secretary of The Museum) purchased a manila letter-sized envelope with what appears to have someone's collection of photos of young women. But also in the envelope were a dozen black and white negatives.
The envelope has notes saying "Tujunga" and "Palm Springs??" Despite that I should be at Museum work, like writing letters and copy for our new website, I couldn't resist scanning some of the negatives to see what we might have.
This posting, and the one to follow, show what prints of the negatives would have looked like, and clearly reveal that the Tujunga Fire Department is their subject.

Note: As your Museum grows stronger and we have more volunteers, we hope to have San Fernando Valley experts who will be able to identify things like, the year and models of this equipment.
