THE SAGEBRUSH CANTINA

CHERISHING OUR VALLEY        2013
 THE SAGEBRUSH CANTINA

Long a San Fernando Valley favorite, the Sagebrush Cantina serves up good Mexican food, great drinks, night time entertainment, and just enough early California decor to make a visit there just right. And, just in case you need the real thing, adjacent is the wonderful Leonis Adobe historical complex.

Visit the adobe and have lunch at the Sagebrush Cantina - the perfect place for your out-of-town visitors.

The cantinas, saloons of the Old West were raucous places. These details from bar area murals in the Sagebrush Cantina remind us of life in the life before the civilizing of the Methodist circuit riders had their effect.

Open gambling vanished in the San Fernando Valley after the Prohibition era and official annexation of Valley communities into the city of Los Angeles.

Exterior sign ropes in visitors to the Sangebrush Cantina.
