INTERIOR SAINT LEON CATHEDRAL GLENDALE

CHERISHING OUR VALLEY               2013

Jesus prays in the Garden of Gethsemane on the night in which He was betrayed.

Veneration Cross at the entrance of the Cathedral.

Interior of Saint Leon Cathedral.

I am not familiar with the layout of Armenian Christian churches, but assume that this curtain protects a sanctuary in which the Divine Liturgy is celebrated.

Sainted glass window of Saint Gregory.

Stained glass window of Saint Sahak.

Stained glass window of the Adoration of the Magi. The Magi are the Three Kings of the Nativity story.

Sacred book, the purpose of which I am not familiar.

Several of these marble plaques were on the wall of the Cathedral's interior. The crosses differed in numbers with variations at their bases.

Jesus Christ with His 12 Apostle. Judas, who betrayed Jesus is depicted in dark robes at the far right at the bottom. He holds a bag of coins, acquired by his betrayal of Jesus for 30 pieces of silver.
